Where do we go from here?

Loved the writeup (in Pirate English -- pinglish? -- AND common tongue. Nice touch), BTW.

But surely, between twenty or so escapees from New Haven, we've got some idea of where West, North, East or South might lead and why we might be motivated to go in any one direction (or several)?

I know you're a sandbox man -- which is good for once we're well ensconced in this scenario. But right now, we're sort of like time-traveling amnesiacs with no knowledge of the outside world. Need the data, yo!

Shane! That was a blast! <<understatement.
You really brought the theatrics into game mastering and it was great. Can't really imagine a more dynamic and fun game night!

Shane, I've got to say: that session was epic.

It was almost like you had times the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack to your descriptions of the chaos at the prison island. I never could have pulled off that performance. My pirate hat's off to you, sir. (Hat's off to all the other players, as well. You all performed admirably in the face of danger from every direction.)

I hope to see a writeup from you on the session. That was action-packed.

It amazes me how little communication there is in the Savage Worlds community. I subscribe to multiple blogs, podcasts, and forums. And this exact question comes up frequently. Here's the answer Daring Entertainment: War of the Dead. It's available at DriveThru RPG and has a huge number of free fan-created downloads for paper minis, etc.

It was published as a magazine subscription, so the module is broken down into weeks of the outbreak. You actually start as characters on a cruise ship. But the real zombie goodness of this publication is the setting rules. Check it out!

Hey bud. Glad you enjoyed GM-ing. I definitely enjoyed playing this one.

I'm sort of on the fence about letting people join an adventure on the fifth (and final) session. Sometimes it works (like when we brought you into the last two sessions of our long-running Zombie Run campaign).

But sometimes it feels a bit incongruous, with Players acting in ways that don't really mesh with what happened before. It may just be easier to have a veteran player just roleplay two characters, though that isn't ideal, either.

In the end, it depends on the ability of the Player to hit the ground running and play their heart out without too much prompting.

Thanks for the suggestion! It's kind of funny that we've been playing Savage Worlds for probably 8 months or so and have yet to undertake an actual Deadlands campaign. Good idea.
